National Day of Prayer

Today is National Day of Prayer, and while we are being asked to pray for our nation on this day, I would also suggest this would be a good day to pray for our library and our library employees here at CIU as well. How to pray, you ask? Especially if you are not one of "us!" Well, since you asked, here are some suggestions:
1. Pray for continued success in implementing all of the features of our new computer system. There is a lot still to be accomplished on this front and the more we implement, the better our service to our patrons as well as our own workload will become. Our learning curve is still pretty steep although we realize that as we use the system that learning curve will flatten out.
2. Pray for the Library Director to have wisdom in making important budget and organizational decisions between May and July, the beginning of the new fiscal year. More will be said about those decisions as they become final, but enough to say now that there could be some major changes in our organizational structure... all for the better, I may add.
3. Pray for the Library staff as they continue to work at high workload levels. There is so much we want to do to improve and enhance our service to students and faculty but there is a limit to what we can accomplish when carrying a double or triple workload. But we know that with your prayer and God's help, we can accomplish great things!

May your personal participation in this National Day of Prayer be a blessed one!
